Tube delays - clarified from FOI-3822-1920

Request ID: FOI-0045-2021
Date published: 30 April 2020

You asked

1) Please can you clarify what you mean by ‘input variables’, ‘target variables’? I am referring to any variables which TfL might use in determining why the tube delays happen. For example, are there temperature readings or precipitation readings from rainfall which TfL measure and then associate with specific categories of delays? I will also need the duration of each delay and the times they occurred. 2) Please also clarify whether you require information about all asset failures or is it just signals, and do you require all delays such as including Customer related ones? I would like information about all asset failures and customer related ones too. ORIGINAL REQUEST All London tube delays from 2015-present categorized by input variable and target variable I would like a full data list of the input variables that correspond to the cause factors such as "Signals - Links (inc. cables), Signals - Non Vital, Signals - Train Detection". This list must be from 2015 - present. Please provide what the input of the causes are such as temperature inputs, weather inputs and also please provide the date and time they occurred, what tube line they occurred on and what the tube station is.
