You asked
Follow-up to FOI-3425-2223: Many thanks for your response. I do apologize that my previous communication was not clear enough. Please find attached a marked-up map of the area. The area(s) I was referring to are on both sides of Blackhorse Lane, close to the bridge over the tram line near Blackhorse Lane Tram stop. Of particular interest to me is the area marked by the red line. This is the area which was cleared of the oak tree and vegetation. The said tree and vegetation was not on the roadside, but on a strip of land (on both sides of the road) which I believe is owned by TfL/Tram network. There were some trees on the other side of the road too, marked by the green line.

TfL Ref: FOI-0044-2324
Thank you for your further request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4th April 2023 asking for information about the removal of an oak tree and other vegetation on Blackhorse Lane.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked the following, further to case reference FOI-3425-2223:
“Please find attached a marked-up map of the area. The area(s) I was referring to are on both sides of Blackhorse Lane, close to the bridge over the tram line near Blackhorse Lane Tram stop. Of particular interest to me is the area marked by the red line. This is the area which was cleared of the oak tree and vegetation. There were some trees on the other side of the road too, marked by the green line.”
I can confirm that the tree and surrounding vegetation were removed as part of the Blackhorse Lane bridge replacement project. This was necessary to ensure the essential work to replace the life-expired bridge over the tramway could be completed.
