Cost of footbridge

Request ID: FOI-0036-1718
Date published: 09 May 2017

You asked

I understood that the bridge was faulty and had to be closed, If so what was the cost of the repair and who paid for it. Furthermore to spend so much on a bridge that is rarely used is another TFL faux pas. I have been trying to get TFL to switch off unnecessary lighting at DLR and underground stations without success and consult with bus drivers on how to improve traffic flow and making my own suggestions but to no avail. Why is it so bad to increase the distance between bus stops in Oxford St and Regent St?. It is quicker to walk. Why have you not arranged with Westminster Council to remove the Islands in these roads TFL has let us down as journeys take longer and longer. In East Barnet, Russell lane why no parking restriction or in Edgwarebury lane, Edgware parking restricted to one side. In Southgate where I pointed out that buses could not pass each other ,so within 2weeks a double yellow line, yet outside Southgate station see how the taxi ranks disturb the buses and when I complained, further ranks were added.
