Our ref: FOI-0028-1718
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 April 2017 asking for information about Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued at the box junction at Archway Road/Jacksons Lane/Shepherds Hill.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
For the most recent 12 month period available:
- How many penalty notices have been issued
We issued 5,067 Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) for yellow box contraventions at this location between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017.
- How many appeals have been made
We have received representations against 997 of the above PCNs. Five appeals have been made to the independent Adjudicator at London Tribunals.
- Of these, how many have been successful
We have cancelled 350 of the above PCNs following receipt of representations. It should be noted however that cancellation of a PCN does not indicate that a representation has been successful because a number of PCNs may be cancelled for other reasons. Of the appeals made to London Tribunals, one has been allowed by the Adjudicator and a further two have not been contested by TfL.
- What is the total revenue in this period received from fines
The total value of payments received by TfL for the above PCNs is £320,298.
The above information was correct on 20 April 2017.
