Our Ref:          FOI-0018-1819

Thank you for your request received on 1 April 2018 asking for information about the cost of Crossrail.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

Please find the requested information below up to 3 March 2018. Please note that we have split out ‘tunnelling costs’ by aggregating the costs of the relevant contracts. ‘New track laying (direct)’ includes direct labour, equipment and consumables, design and procurement, installation costs and associated fee and Incentives. This excludes indirect costs e.g. construction and demobilisation of the Railhead, train logistic costs, welfare and office accommodation etc.

Please also note that the ‘existing line renovation’ costs form part of the costs incurred by Network Rail, which are reported separately by Network Rail and are not included in the table of costs provided below as they are not part of Crossrail Ltd.’s scope and we do not report on this information.
