London Transport Museum is the conservation and education charity dedicated to preserving our heritage and explaining it to museum visitors. Located in the Grade II-listed Flower Market building in Covent Garden, the museum houses more than 450,000 items of transport memorabilia, including historic vehicles, posters and photographs. Displays tell the story of how transport has evolved in the capital over the last 200 years. London Transport Museum's Depot in Acton is home to collections not on display at the main site in Covent Garden. The depot opens to the public for special events, including themed weekends and guided tours.

Visitor numbers are based on general visits to the London Transport Museum at Covent Garden and to Acton Depot Open Weekends. They exclude evening talks and events and guided tours of the Depot.
Visitor numbers are based on financial periods rather than calendar months. The Museum has 13 financial periods and a 31 March financial year end. Whilst we do not record information in calendar years we have calculated the figures above as accurately as possible to answer your request.
