Silvertown Tunnel connects on the east side of the Greenwich Peninsula to the A1026 Lower Lea Crossing and A13, and other local destinations.

Both tunnels are open 24 hours a day. If you drive through either Blackwall or Silvertown Tunnel during charging hours, you will need to pay each time you cross, unless your vehicle is exempt from paying the charge. These charges apply in both directions. Find out about charges and what to pay.

If you live within the surrounding boroughs, you may qualify for certain discounts and exemptions for tunnel charges and local public transport.
East London residents on certain low income benefits may be eligible for a 50% discount on tunnel charges.
Small businesses, charities, and sole traders with a registered address in Greenwich, Newham or Tower Hamlets may be eligible for £1 off the off-peak charge for up to three vehicles.
Register ahead of time to claim your driving discount.
Enter a postcode to see if your address might be eligible for a residents' discount.
Our vehicle checker will not show Blackwall and Silvertown tunnel charges yet, but will tell you if you need to pay other charges to drive in London.
