Pay as you go

You can pay as you go using contactless or Oyster.

If you have a contactless payment card, you don't need to add credit before you use it.

If you have an Oyster card, you can top up your pay as you go credit:

Paper single and return tickets

You can buy paper tickets for single and return journeys on Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and National Rail services at:

  • Ticket machines at Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and National Rail stations
  • Ticket offices at London Overground, TfL Rail and National Rail stations

You can't use cash to pay your bus fare, or to pay your tram fare at tram stops.

Orders for 10 or more Oyster cards

Orders for 10 or more Oyster cards can be made by calling 0343 222 1234.

These orders are fulfilled by our contractor Journeycall, who will send the invoice for payment. Following payment, all the cards will be sent as one delivery to a single address, nominated when the order is made.

Company cheques are no longer accepted. Company credit cards can be used to buy season tickets online with a contactless and Oyster account.
