Engineering & Technology Summer Internship
How long: 10 Weeks
Where: London based hybrid working. Anticipated 1 to 2 days on average in the office- subject to working patterns and business requirements
What you'll need
Candidates must already hold or be in your penultimate year of your degree and be on track to achieve a minimum of 2:2 BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in electrical, electronic, systems or mechatronic engineering or a closely related subject accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
What you'll be doing
This 10-week development programme is packed with a variety of opportunities, designed to provide you with first-hand experience of life as an engineer in TfL. And potentially support you in your future ambition of becoming a fully chartered engineer.
Your programme will offer you hands-on experience with one of our engineering teams.
By working on live projects, you'll gain a broad grounding of engineering and a good understanding of what drives our business and how we deliver.
You'll be working alongside specialist engineers working on a placement across the lifecycle of a wide variety of systems.
The emphasis of both our placement and graduate schemes is on developing 'world class' engineers who seek to become the senior engineers and leaders of the future.
To guide our choice of placement and to help you to get the most out of it, you will be asked to express a preference for one of the following streams on application:
- Systems Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Technology Engineering
