Step-free access available at West Ealing station as upgrade works complete

26 March 2021

West Ealing station has become step-free after lifts opened to customers yesterday.

Network Rail has built an accessible footbridge with lifts to all platforms, and a new bay platform for Greenford Branch trains was created by widening Platform 4.

West Ealing has step-free access to platforms, improving accessibility for those needing to travel to stations between Paddington, Heathrow and Reading.

Information about these step-free access improvements will be incorporated into both the TfL journey planner and the free TfL Go app, to help those with accessibility needs plan their journey.

All TfL Rail stations operate a turn-up-and-go service for customers needing assistance.
