This will temporarily affect where you catch your bus, the position of the taxi rank and disabled parking near to the bus station.

The decision to close the station, which handles over 30,000 passengers on a typical weekday, followed careful consideration by Transport for London (TfL) to minimise inconvenience for passengers and take advantage of reduced passenger numbers during the school holidays - a period where fewer events are taking place at the nearby O2 Arena.

The bus station will receive extensive repairs to the access road surfaces and improvements to the drainage system which will help minimise any future inconvenience from potential closures.

During the closure changes will also be made to the pedestrian crossings designed to improve passenger safety.

Relocated taxi rank

During these works bus routes 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472 and 486 will use nearby stops F and G on Millennium Way.

Full details of the stopping arrangements will be displayed throughout the bus station and on the website www.tfl.gov.uk

Bus station staff will also be available to advise passengers of where to catch their bus.

The taxi rank will be relocated from its current location to a temporary pick up area adjacent to East Parkside.

These changes will take effect from Monday 5 August until the completion of the works.

Blue Badge

Directional signage will be displayed to assist passengers.

The disabled parking in the NCP car park behind the bus station will also be relocated during these works.

During this time Blue Badge holders will be able to park in the North Greenwich Underground station main car park located in Edmund Halley Way.

Bays conveniently placed closest to the bus and the London Underground station will be widened to provide fully accessible parking.
