Season ticket not needed due to illness

Before you claim

You can get a refund if you have a 7 Day or longer Travelcard or Bus & Tram Pass.

We will ask you to send us details of your illness and when it started. This could be a:

  • Medical certificate
  • Letter on headed paper from your doctor or employer

If your illness started less than 6 weeks ago, we'll refund you from the start of your illness.

If your illness started more than 6 weeks ago, your refund will be calculated as 6 weeks from the date of your application.

If you want to claim a refund, you cannot use the ticket again. You will not get a refund if you use the ticket after claiming.

We charge a £5 admin fee for this refund.

Claim a refund

Please fill in the Oyster form, and provide us with:

  • Details of your illness and when it started
  • A medical certificate or letter on headed paper from your doctor or employer
  • Your contact details (name, address and phone number)
