Charged for travelling in Zone 1

What you should know

There are pink card readers at some Tube and London Overground stations - they tell us which route you've taken so we can charge you the right fare.

If you use pay as you go or have a Travelcard that doesn't include Zone 1, and you change trains at a station with a pink card reader, you should touch your card on the pink card reader to pay the right fare.
