Surrey Quays station upgrade
Compulsory Purchase Order
We're currently working on a wide programme of improvements for the London Overground Highbury & Islington to New Cross, Clapham Junction, Crystal Palace and West Croydon route which will create approximately 14,000 new homes. This will include an upgrade of Surrey Quays station.
Our plans include:
- Creating a new station entrance and ticket hall which will link into the Canada Water Masterplan development
- A significant increase to the capacity of the station
- Providing step-free access and improving accessibility across the transport network

In order to redevelop Surrey Quays station, we require some land that we currently do not own. That's why we have made a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) to acquire that land.
