Surrey Quays station upgrade
Surrey Quays station upgrade: Compulsory Purchase Order
We are currently working on a wide programme of improvements for the London Overground Highbury & Islington to New Cross, Clapham Junction, Crystal Palace and West Croydon route which will create approximately 14,000 new homes. This will also include the upgrade of Surrey Quays station.
Our plans include:
- Creating a new station entrance and ticket hall which will link into the Canada Water Masterplan Development
- A significant increase to the capacity of the station
- Providing step-free access and improving accessibility across the transport network
Read the Statement of Reasons for more information about our planned improvements to Surrey Quays station.
In order to redevelop Surrey Quays station, we require some land that we currently do not own. Therefore, we have made a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) to acquire that land. This page has key documents that relate to this.
If you are affected by the CPO and want to discuss this with one of our team, email Sandra Davis at SMBOperationalProper@tfl.gov.uk.
