Up to 50% of time can be spent working from home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements may alter subject to business requirements.

Salary: £28,500 rising to £30,000 in year 2

Any degree classification in any discipline.

Offers will be subject to a satisfactory medical which may include but is not limited to drugs and alcohol screening, eye test and hearing test.

What you'll be doing

You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple areas in TfL and be involved in some of the UK's most exciting and high-profile programmes and projects. There's also potential to be involved in technology programmes that improve the experience of customers across London. You'll have the chance to go into a role in any of the below areas:

  • Project Controls (including Planning & Risk management)
  • Project Management
  • Construction Management

Your development programme will be made up of up to four placement rotations. Here's an idea of what your programme could look like:

Placement 1 - Planning Assistant /Risk Assistant

  • Work in a team responsible for the project planning or Risk Management for multiple Projects & Programmes across Capital Delivery and Asset Performance & Capital Delivery

Placement 2 - Assistant Project Manager

  • Work in a project team in TfL Capital or Technology & Data
  • Be responsible for all aspects of managing a project including Scope, Governance and Resource Management. Responsibilities will depend on the stage and details of the project

Placement 3 - Construction

  • Gain experience of managing construction projects in TfL Capital taking responsibility for aspects including stakeholder management and quality assurance

Placement 4 - Sponsorship

  • Working in an area to learn about business cases and project initiation and the role of a Sponsor.
