Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 GCSE's Grade A* - C or Grade 4 and above, including Maths and English Language (or equivalents)
  • You are not eligible for this scheme if you currently hold or are working towards a qualification at the same or higher level in a related subject or have already studied content from the qualification for this scheme
  • Applicants holding the following will not be eligible to apply: Level 3 Apprenticeship or qualifications in electrical installation
  • You must be 18 years of age by 13th January 2025 to be eligible for this scheme

What will I be doing?

Apprentices will have the opportunity to learn from experienced and qualified staff through various placements across the organisation to gain a broad spectrum of knowledge through a hands-on approach to learning.

Power - LV Cables

As a London Underground LV Cables Apprentice, you will participate and work with competent teams that ensure the LV Cables Assets are maintained and delivered into service in a safe and timely manner. During your apprenticeship, you will be placed across a range of departments within the LV Cables areas, enabling you to experience and learn how the LV Cables Divisions function. You will learn how to read Electrical and Mechanical Drawings, be trained to write reports, fault finding, understand and apply the principles, practices and legislation for the termination and connection of conductors, cables and cords in electrical systems.
