Where: London-based hybrid working. Expected 1-2 days on average in the office (subject to working patterns and business requirements).

What you'll need

  • For those who don't have a GCSE Level 4 (Grade C and above) or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English, you must achieve Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English while completing your apprenticeship. You'll be supported to achieve this
  • You must be 18 years old by September 2023 to be eligible for this scheme

Job overview

Our Tech & Data teams focus on what's behind the millions of daily transactions on London's transport network.

In this role, you'll be working across a variety of roles within our Data team on many exciting projects. Such as gaining insights from our WiFi data on the tube to understanding the complexities of our road network and all the vast data that it has to offer.

As well as looking at new and exciting ways to make our data more accessible and bring the insight that it holds to life.

What you'll be doing

As an apprentice, your 2-year development programme will be made up of up to 5 placement rotations.

Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience you need for your successful career.

We also understand that everyone's career is different, so every apprentice's journey is unique.

Where this career can take you

Upon successful completion of this scheme, you could roll-off in to some roles within D&A like a Developer or Visualisation Developer.

This could lead to further career development opportunities such as moving in to a Senior role or the technical lead for a discipline.

There'll be further opportunities to upskill and becoming accredited in many areas that are relevant to the technology stack of the department.
