A message from London's Transport Commissioner
The devastation that this loss will have caused their family and friends is immeasurable and there is not a day that passes that they are not on my mind.
My colleagues have made an extraordinary contribution during the pandemic, working in unprecedented and challenging circumstances to keep the transport network running to allow other key workers to do their jobs.
As we now learn to live with this virus, our commitment to the safety of our staff and customers remains our top priority. It is at the forefront of every action and decision we make. We have also recently announced the plans for our permanent memorial to London's transport workers who sadly lost their lives due to the pandemic, which will help ensure that they are never forgotten.
As Commissioner, I will continue to do everything in my power to keep you safe.
