About the service
We have created an automated service on Facebook Messenger to help you check the status of your Tube, rail or bus route. The service is free and uses our latest data.
The status checker is available for all Tube lines, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail, trams and all bus routes. Try out our Facebook Travelbot on Messenger or read about what it can do here.
How to check your bus arrival times
Check when your bus is due to arrive by sharing your location or providing the bus stop code.
To check, type something like: 'When's the next bus' or 'next bus'. You will then be asked to share where you are using your phone's location, or you can provide the bus stop code if you know it.
How to check your bus route status
Find out if there are disruptions on your bus route.
To check, type something like: 'How's the 38 bus' or '38 bus'.
How to find your nearest bus stop
Find out which bus stop you need or where your nearest one is.
Type something like 'nearest bus' and you will be asked to send your location. You will be given a map and a list of the 5closest bus stops. Choose one to get the next buses from that stop.
How to check your Tube or rail line status
Find out if there are disruptions on any Tube line, London Overground, TfL Rail, trams or the DLR.
To check, type something like: 'Is the Central line running OK' or 'central', and you will be given the latest status along with details if there is a disruption. This also works with 'dlr', 'overground', 'tfl rail' or 'trams'.
How to view Tube and rail maps
View or download our Tube, rail and Night Tube maps.
To get the maps type something like: 'Tube map' or 'rail map' or 'map'. You will be given the choice to view, download or send the map.
