The North ticket hall (open January 2017) now offers step-free access between the street and Victoria line platforms.
The entrance, on the corner of Bressenden Place and Victoria Street, opens directly onto Cardinal Place. This has improved pedestrian access to the busy shopping and business district.
The new entrance adds space to the station and includes:

New lift works
Work to construct two lift shafts began in January 2015. These will provide step-free interchange between the Victoria and District/Circle line platforms when the upgrade is complete in 2018.
While work is carried out, changing between the District/Circle and Victoria lines will take longer than usual, particularly during the weekday morning and evening peaks. This is because one of the subways leading to the eastbound District/Circle line platform will be closed for conversion into a new lift shaft and connecting passageway.
It may be necessary to restrict entry to the station at busy times and some routes around the station will be altered.
To/from the eastbound platform
Queues are likely at busy times. To minimise delay, a one-way system will be put in place and extra staff will be available. Please follow the signs for the easiest route.
To/from the westbound platform
An area at the top of the subway stairs to the westbound platform will also be affected. If you move along the platform away from the stairs, you'll find it easier to board your train.
Your journey may be easier if you use an alternative route to change lines.

Walking routes to and from the Tube and National Rail stations will be affected by the works. Allow extra time if you need to change lines or your journey starts or finishes at Victoria station. Look out for updated signs.

Traffic changes at Wilton Road
Wilton Road north of Neathouse Place is currently closed to all general traffic except buses, licensed taxis and bicycles.
General traffic is being diverted along Bridge Place, Eccleston Bridge and Buckingham Palace Road. This route avoids the Congestion Charging zone.
Vehicles that are heavier than 18 tonnes will need to find an alternative to using Eccleston Bridge. Vehicles under 4.4m high should use Grosvenor Road.
Road signs on the approach to, and at, the Wilton Road junction will alert you to the diversion and that access to Wilton Road is restricted to buses and licensed taxis.
If you ignore the signs and drive along Wilton Road, you may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice of £130 (reduced to £65 if paid within 14 days).
