The difference between the Elizabeth line, Crossrail and TfL Rail

Crossrail is the construction project to build the infrastructure for Elizabeth line services.

TfL Rail is the temporary name being used for the Liverpool Street to Shenfield and Heathrow to Paddington routes until the Elizabeth line opens.

The Elizabeth line is the name of the new line stretching from Reading and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east. It will be part of London's integrated transport network. When it is fully open it will pass through 41 stations.
