The improvements fit in with the Mayor of London's plan for Healthy Streets. This long-term strategy to encourage more people to walk, cycle and use public transport will help to make London's streets healthier, safer and more welcoming.

The proposals would:

  • Create safer and more visible pedestrian crossings
  • Provide dedicated cycle facilities for cyclists travelling across the roundabout
  • Introduce traffic lights to control flows of traffic on and off the roundabout
  • Help manage construction traffic High Speed 2 (HS2)
  • Improve landscaping with new trees and shrubs

We will let residents know when to expect the works to start - we're also working to minimise disruption to all road users.

We held four community events about our proposals in October 2018.
