Network Rail is undertaking the Thameslink Programme to transform north-south travel through London.
When the programme finishes in 2018, journeys will be improved, with new trains every two to three minutes through central London at peak times, better travel options to more destinations, and modern track for more reliable journeys.
The programme includes the rebuild of London Bridge station to create more space and facilities. To work on a new station entrance, they need to make changes on Tooley Street, the road outside the station
