  • Thursday 17 November: Regent Street Christmas Lights switch-on takes place 12:00-19:00. Regent Street will be closed between Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus
  • Saturday 19 November: A planned march takes place between Park Lane and Millbank 12:00-16:00, causing road closures 11:00-18:00
  • Sunday 20 November: The Hamleys Regent Street Christmas Parade will take place 11:00-17:00. Regent Street will be closed between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus

Also, Winter Wonderland begins on Saturday 19 November in Hyde Park at 17:00, and runs every day 10:00-22:00 until Monday 2 January 2017, causing busier stations and more pedestrians in the area

  • Millbank (rally will be held at north side of Lambeth Bridge)

  • St James's Street
  • St Margaret Street
  • Trafalgar Square
  • Whitehall

Sunday 20 November

The following roads will be closed:

  • 03:00-22:00: New Burlington Street
  • 07:00-14:00: Golden Square (on west, north and south sides)
  • 07:00-20:00: Regent Street (closed northbound between Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, closed southbound between Mortimer Street and Piccadilly Circus)

    Tube and rail are the best way to get around central London on event days, although the following stations will be busier than usual during this time:

      Oxford Circus

      Oxford Circus Tube station can become very busy, and it often has to temporarily close its gates for safety reasons. For a quicker and more comfortable journey to or from the events, you could use the following nearby stations:

      Taxis & minicabs

      Taxis and minicabs will run as normal, but some journey times will be affected by traffic in the area - please plan your journey in advance and leave more time to travel.
