The Trustees have secured the participating employers' agreement to funding the total deficit of £0.736bn across the eight sections of the Fund. The Actuarial Valuation Committee has played the leading role in reviewing the Actuary's valuation and carrying out the negotiations on the technical provisions and recovery plan for each of the Fund's sections with the Principal Employer, acting on behalf of all the participating employers.
As part of the valuation process, various documents are produced to evidence the assumptions used and also the agreements reached in relation to payment of contributions; the documents for the Public Sector section of the Fund can be downloaded from this website, these are:
Public sector statement of funding principles (April 2016)
Public sector recovery plan (April 2016)
Public sector schedule of contributions (April 2016)
Public sector actuarial valuation report as at 31 March 2015
Copies of the documentation in respect of the other sections of the Fund are available on request from the Pension Fund office.
