DLR audio guides

Simply select the route you want to take and download the free audio guides for lots of historical details, intriguing facts, and tips on what to look out for. Even if you think you know London, you might be in for a surprise.

Making the most of our audio guides

Our audio guides are interesting and informative but even more so if you:

  • Sit at the front because these are the best seats for viewing. You won't always be able to get the very front seat, but make sure you're in the front carriage of the train. If you're further back, you won't be able to see everything
  • Sit facing the direction of travel - our audio guides assume that you're facing forward
  • Make sure that your guide is fully synchronised - this means working at the same pace as your journey. When you're at a station, you should hear a beep on the commentary track to coincide with the train doors closing and leaving the station. If departure is delayed, press 'pause' on your device and restart the guide when the train moves off again
