Brand licensing

Jump on board with the true London brand.

No other city is as defined by its transport system as London. TfL has some of the most recognisable symbols and images in the world, including the famous Tube map, iconic roundels, vehicles and seating fabric (moquette) patterns.

With a growing licensing programme, creating innovative and exciting products steeped in over 160 years of history, there has never been a better time to jump on board with us.

With many of the world's firsts, including the first underground train in 1863, we have always been a leader of design. We became an influential patron of British art in the 1930s when many famous designers began leaving their mark across the network in the form of architecture, vehicle and fabric design, as well as posters and sculptures.

We are the heart of London's design heritage and today our commitment to design continues and our licensing programme is an extension of this.

Products and partners

We are lucky to work with an amazing selection of partners, including high street names from Adidas to Kurt Geiger, to create a range of quality products from souvenir, apparel, jewellery, gift and craft. We have more than 80 licensees and are still expanding! There's huge scope for creativity with key territories in the UK, Europe, Australia and China.

All profits made are put back into our network, which helps us to keep London moving.

Assets and style guides

With more than 150 years of heritage linked to a strong design ethos, we have a huge portfolio of assets available with our own font, affectionately known as the 'handwriting of London', the iconic bar and circle device - the 'roundel' - along with the famous tube map, the moquette patterns on our seats, more than 5,000 heritage posters, archive photographs and signage.

We work to update our licensing assets, with a selection of trend-led, ready-to-use design assets available, inspired both by our heritage and our current and future network.
