Coronavirus support for our property customers - June 2021 onwards

We are committed to working in partnership with our customers and have provided support through the pandemic and now into our recovery.  

If you need further support or are struggling to keep up with your rent or payment plan, please contact your property manager as soon as possible. We will be in touch to check how your business is recovering. 

It is important that we maintain a safe and compliant property estate and we will be in touch with to discuss compliance responsibilities over the coming weeks and months.  

Our coronavirus support so far

Since the first lockdown was announced in March 2020, we have worked hard to give our commercial property customers the support that they need to meet the challenge of the coronavirus pandemic. We were the first major landlord to announce that we would not charge our small business customers any rent for the March 2020 rent quaarter and our support haas continued since.

We have been amazed by the resilience of our commercial property customers and the ways in which they have been helping each other and their local communities.

Our support for you: September 2020 to June 2021

The nature of the pandemic and the inherent uncertainty caused meant that our support for our commercial property customers was, at first, announced in three-month stages. We were then able to look further ahead, to support their recovery and business planning, from September 2020 to June 2021. This will include making sure that any support for the September 2020 quarter was right for our commercial property customers and their businesses.

We 've engaged with our commercial property customers to discuss the best form of support for them and their businesses between September 2020 and June 2021. There was no standard policy for everyone, because we know that different businesses require different support. Some of businesses had to remain closed during the restictions. Some were told to remain closed by the Government since March 2020. Some businesses just need some guidance on where they could access business support schemes, funding or relief from elsewhere.
