The sub-regional transport programme includes regular meetings, the development of Sub-regional transport plans, and ongoing work on local and strategic transport assessment and infrastructure planning.

The plans were first developed in 2010 and updated several times since then through sub-regional partnerships led by TfL Planning.

The 2016 update - called 'Story of Growth' - includes greater analysis of transport conditions and forecast travel patterns, economic conditions and infrastructure provision. The plans are more interactive and more detailed and are intended to provide the basis for future planning, transport and investment decisions between the relevant authorities.

See the documents on the Sub-regional transport plans page in Publications.

The documents will help boroughs develop their latest complementary Local Implementation Plan (LIP) programmes.
