You can pay as you go using contactless or an Oyster card on all London buses that display the red roundel.

Tube stations

At a ticket machine you can:

  • Get Oyster cards
  • Top up your Oyster card with pay as you go credit
  • Buy 7 Day or Monthly Travelcards and Bus & Tram Passes on Oyster, up to four days before the start date
  • Buy paper tickets for single and return journeys, Day Travelcards and One Day Bus & Tram Passes, on the day of travel

At a DLR station you can:

  • Get Oyster cards at Canary Wharf and London City Airport station information points
  • Top up your Oyster card with pay as you go credit using the self-service ticket machines
  • Buy 7 Day or Monthly Travelcards and Bus & Tram Passes on Oyster
  • Buy paper tickets for single or return journeys and Day Travelcards

You can't buy tickets in advance from self-service ticket machines.

London Overground stations

  • Buy Day Travelcards and Group Day Travelcards, up to seven days before the day of travel

Watford Junction does not issue Oyster cards, but if you already have one you can top up your pay as you go credit.

Ticket machines

  • Top up your Oyster card with pay as you go credit
  • Buy 7 Day Travelcards on Oyster

If you want to add a longer period season ticket, you will need to do this on your contactless and Oyster account, at an Oyster Ticket Stop or at a Tube, London Overground or TfL Rail station.

Tram stops

All ticket machines at tram stops sell single and return tickets and Day Travelcards.

Emirates Air Line

  • Top up Oyster cards at ticket machines
  • Buy single, return or multi-journey Boarding Passes to travel on the Emirates Air Line at ticket offices and machines at Emirates Greenwich Peninsula and Emirates Royal Docks terminals
  • You can also buy Boarding Passes at the London City Airport ticket office and the Greenwich Tourist Information Centre
