How do I apply?

To apply for a Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount Card, you'll need to go to your local Jobcentre Plus office.

Using your discount card

To use the Jobcentre Plus travel discount, you'll have to get an Oyster card (if you don't already have one), register it and then have your discount added. Just go to any Tube station, Oyster Ticket Stop or Visitor Centre and ask the staff to put your discount entitlement onto your Oyster card. They can also register it at the same time.

Once you've got your Jobcentre Plus travel discount on your Oyster card, please remember to:

  • Touch in and out on the yellow card readers so we know where your journey starts and ends and can charge you the right fare if you're using pay as you go. It's slightly different for each type of transport. Find out more about touching in and out
  • Carry your Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount Card and Oyster card together at all times when you travel

You must not let anyone else use your Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount Card or Oyster card.
