I want to know how many individual passenger journeys are made on all TfL London bus routes within certain time bands first between 7am -10am second between 10am -4pm third between 4pm-7pm and fourth between 7pm and 7am. It would be ideal to have the average yearly figure for these time periods but if this is too much I would be happy with the average figure for a month or even a week. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we  hold some of the information you require. You asked:

As a way of background, we appoint a contractor to produce our bus journey figures and they use a combination of survey and Oyster inputs to calculate the total bus journeys on the network. We can therefore split the journeys by day type(Mon-Fri, Sat and Sun) and hourly between 6am and 11:59pm. Please note that between 12am and 5.59am we do not have a survey input, so this figure is calculated by estimate and not split by day and hour.
