Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 February 2018 asking for information about Private Hire compliance inspections. I am sorry for the delay in replying.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
TfL have not carried out a Compliance Inspection on Uber since the decision was taken to refuse the renewal of their operator licence.
Inspections are normally carried out at least once a year, however we will also visit operators more often where specific intelligence is received. We continue this inspection regime as long as a they are operating.
The reasons for TfL not issuing a new licence are available online here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/13-17-licensing-decision-on-uber-london-limited.pdf.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
