Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 9 February 2018 asking for information about the Alternative Vehicle Evaluations program.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require. The Alternative Vehicle Evaluations program is not something we are familiar with. The bus network in London is entirely operated by private companies. These bus operating companies might do proving work for new manufacturer models. However, TfL does not get involved in this except in rare cases where there might be new technology such as a new make of electric bus.

If such work is carried out by bus operating companies, then this is not held by TfL. You may wish to contact the bus operators direct. Details of the bus operators and the routes they are responsible for are shown on our website here: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/who-runs-your-bus

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
