Thank you for your request received on 13 and 20 March 2020 asking for information about Crossrail2.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

Please find attached the pages of the 2014 Engineering Feasibility Study regarding the alternative layout for a portal in the Wimbledon area. Please also find attached the pages that relate to Wimbledon station and Dundonald Yard from the 2012 Engineering Feasibility Study.

With regards to the technical work we referenced in FOI-2915-1819, this is the same work that we provided some information about in response to your request FOI-3074-1920. As a result, regulation 12(5)(e) of the Environmental Information Regulations – Confidentiality of commercial or industrial information – is engaged due to the fact that the detailed information contained in the report relates to a much wider area of land in Wimbledon beyond just Merton Hall Road and your property.

Again, the exception has been applied as disclosure of the information you have requested is commercially sensitive and disclosure would prejudice the commercial interests of Crossrail 2. The report contains proposed revisions to the 2015 Safeguarding Directions. These proposed revisions, which are continually evolving until the Secretary of State for Transport gives full approval, would provide advance information directly affecting a number of properties in the Wimbledon area. These properties could be the subject of future acquisitions, if the necessary powers are confirmed by the Government for the future delivery of Crossrail 2.

The attached documents contain our full reasoning behind the use of this exception and the public interest arguments considered. As you are aware, this reasoning has been considered and accepted previously by both the Information Commissioner and an Information Tribunal. To confirm, our position has not changed.
