TfL Ref: FOI-3598-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 30th March 2023 asking for information about the A24 temporary order.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked, further to case ref FOI-0758-2323:
“Your response of 14 July (below) stated that you expected to conclude the current monitoring of the A24 temporary order, and let the public know the intended way forward, in Autumn 2022. It is now Spring 2023 and nothing has been published as far as I'm aware. Why the delay in publication of the review and when will it now be published?”.
Given the strategic importance of the A24 for all road users including buses, cyclists and pedestrians, TfL took the decision to extend the period of monitoring of the scheme on the local area as well as listening to the ongoing feedback from the community about the changes. We are currently considering this information before we decide if we should retain, remove or improve the highway layout. We expect to make our decision in the next few months.
