Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22 March 2019 asking for information about bus route 262.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions and our answers are below:

1) I would like to know what recorded information you have on the new timetable from 30 March 2019 for the service 262. I would like to know between 6am to 8am, what time will the 262 bus start at Stratford station. If you can split that in the relevant time interval when the next bus will arrive between 6am to 8am

Please see attached which provide the timetable of the route from its planned starting point on March 30 in the format that we produce it.

2) I also would like to know for how long tower transit will operate on this route or how long the contract will last.

Most bus tenders are for a minimum period of five years with a two year extension if performance standards are met. However, we re-plan the bus network continually to reflect changing travel patterns and this means that routes can and do change during that seven years. Where routes are not subject to network planning and operators achieve minimum performance standards, we expect most to be in place for around seven years.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
