Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 14 February 2020, asking for information about cleaning trains on the Northern and Victoria lines.

You asked:

Please find attached information on the general type and frequency of cleaning train interiors (this also includes Northern and Victoria lines).
However, in response to the Covid-19 virus outbreak, we have taken further measures to reduce the spread of the virus on our transport network. We have started an enhanced cleaning regime across the Tube and bus networks to improve the already-high hygiene levels on our transport. Cleaning across our networks now includes additional substances that kill viruses and bacteria on contact in order to reduce the risk of coronavirus spreading.
