Our ref: FOI-3531-1819

Thank you for your request received on 24 March 2019 asking for information relating to Silvertown Tunnel.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs) and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.

An email search for correspondence to or from David Rowe where your name, and Silvertown were mentioned, for the dates in question, has identified the attached emails. Some emails involving Heidi Alexander, Val Shawcross or Nick Bowes were identified, but we may not have sight of all of these as they are not on TfL email accounts. You may wish to contact the GLA to see if they hold more relevant emails.

Please note that in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation some personal data, such as the names of non-TfL staff, and direct email addresses and phone numbers have been removed, as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. We have also removed your name from the documents, as all responses to FOI requests are published on our website. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.

All submissions we made to the Planning Inspectorate and requests from them for information are already in the public domain and can be found at: https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/london/silvertown-tunnel/?ipcsection=docs.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
