Thank you for your request of 16th March 2023 asking for information about the ULEZ scheme.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
The following page of our website details the information that may be collected in the operation of our Road User Charging Schemes (including ULEZ). Note that the exact personal information that is held will vary depending on the particular relationship we have with individuals and their history of engagement with us, and will be dependent on factors such as whether they have a Road User Charging Account, whether they have previously paid a charge or been issued with a Penalty Charge Notice, or whether they have applied for an exemption or one of the scrappage schemes:
Details of the discounts and exemptions that apply in respect of the ULEZ scheme are published on our website via the following link, along with the forms for applying. Those forms shows the information that owners are required to provide to us in order for their exemption application to be considered.
Note that owners who believe their vehicles are wrongly recorded as non-compliant with the emissions standards and want this corrected do not qualify for “an exemption”. Rather, they will need to provide evidence to us that their vehicles are in fact compliant. Details of the ULEZ standards are provided on our website here:
