Under the F.O.I. Act 2000 please can you tell me: 1) How many people became victims of "hit and run" in London in 2018? 2) How many died? 3) How many were child (0-15) casualties? 4) How many children died?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 30 January 2020 asking for information about ‘hit and run’ casualty figures for 2018.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions and our replies are as follows:

  1. How many people became victims of "hit and run" in London in 2018?

     

     

    7,410 people were injured in collisions involving a failed to stop vehicle in 2018.

     

     

     

  2. How many died?

     

     

    17 people died in collisions involving a failed to stop vehicle in 2018.

     

     

     

  3. How many were child (0-15) casualties?

     

     

    391 children aged under 16 years old were injured in collisions involving a failed to stop vehicle in 2018.

     

     

     

  4. How many children died?

No children aged under 16 years old were killed in collisions involving a failed to stop vehicle in 2018
