Under the FoI Act 2000, I would like to request a copy of the on-train audio announcement recordings as used on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines (provided by a company called Ketech), for personal use only. It has become clear through recent requests on the publically viewable 'What Do They Know' website that TfL is now prepared to disclose such data to the public at large in CD format. I therefore expect the same to apply to my case.

Thank you for your email received on 1 March 2019, asking for London Underground announcements for Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines.

Your request has been processed in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and TfL’s information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

Please find the enclosed CD containing the London Underground announcements.

The Northern line audio files contain historical as well as current announcements. You will note the Piccadilly line announcements are supplied as PCC files which may need specialist software to play them. This format is the only version we currently have available.

Please also note that while the Jubilee and Piccadilly announcements are recorded as full statements specifically for each station, Northern line announcements are recorded as segmented phrases joined into full sentences by the train management system (TMS).
