Follow up from FOI-2864-1819 What is exactly meant by your statement and the roads it goes along to classify it as such As the colour coded trial has a definite boundary please provide the list of roads that are included Please provide the analysis of the population growth to justify your other comment as areas such as Colindale and the Wembley area ( to name but two ) have had population growth and given the congestion around these areas it would have better served to introduce the scheme in these areas

TfL Ref: FOI-3180-1819

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 February 2019.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked:

As the colour coded trial has a definite boundary please provide the list of roads that are included

Our trial sought to include bus routes that pass predominantly through the wider Hayes area; an outer London district with considerably low public transport use, relatively high household car ownership and scope for growing our customer base. The main factor was to select routes that passed mainly through this area rather than mapping out a cordon between roads. This selection process assisted us with a relating aim of trying to raise the proportion of journeys on sustainable transport such as buses and away from cars.

The roads the selected bus routes go through can be found in their respective bus routes maps on our website at https://tfl.gov.uk/maps/bus?intcmp=40401

Please provide the analysis of the population growth to justify your other comment as areas such as Colindale and the Wembley area ( to name but two ) have had population growth and given the congestion around these areas it would have better served to introduce the scheme in these areas

We are aware some parts of London have large developments planned in or around them which will attract more people. The Hayes area will also benefit from Crossrail. Rather than conducting population modelling, we based the trial on assumptions about the likely impacts of these large scale developments.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely

Thanks for this however I feel that this is incorrect so can you define what is exactly meant by your statement and the roads it goes along to classify it as such

As the colour coded trial has a definite boundary please provide the list of roads that are included

Please provide the analysis of the population growth to justify your other comment as areas such as Colindale and the Wembley area ( to name but two ) have had population growth and given the congestion around these areas it would have better served to introduce the scheme in these areas
