You asked

- I would like to know why the following TfL Ambassafor shift was not covered: 25/02/2023 07:00-15:00 Brixton Station (Licensed TfL Ambassador) x1 - I would like to also know if any other TfL Ambassador shifts were not covered on 25/02/2023 or 26/02/2023, and the reason. - I would like to also know what actions you are taking in relation to TfL Ambassadors not attending their shifts. - I would like to know if non-attendance due to sickness counts as a sickness item under the Attendance at Work Policy, and if a return to work interview is subsequently arranged?

Thank you for your request which we received on 25 February 2023, asking for information about TfL Ambassador shifts.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked:

- I would like to know why the following TfL Ambassador shift was not covered: 25/02/2023 07:00-15:00 Brixton Station (Licensed TfL Ambassador) x1

The TfL Ambassador shift was cancelled outside of our working hours, which meant we were not able to source a replacement in time.

- I would like to also know if any other TfL Ambassador shifts were not covered on 25/02/2023 or 26/02/2023, and the reason.

There was one uncovered Licensed TfL Ambassador Supervisor shift at Wembley Central Station on 26/02/2023. This is because nobody booked the shift.

- I would like to also know what actions you are taking in relation to TfL Ambassadors not attending their shifts.

Each instance is dealt with on a case by case basis and appropriate action taken.

- I would like to know if non-attendance due to sickness counts as a sickness item under the Attendance at Work Policy, and if a return to work interview is subsequently arranged?

TfL Ambassadors are managed by their respective Line Managers who should manage their sick absence in line with the Attendance at Work Policy and Procedure.
