Thank you for your email received by us on 15 January 2018 asking for information about local bus services.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked for the following:

I am emailing you with regards to school bus stop Asset No. LE258 Nelmes Avenue and bus stop Asset No. LE259 Nelmes Road. Photos of both these bus stops are attached.

Bus stop LE258 is situated xxxxxxx and it only operates school buses between the hours of 3 to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Bus stop LE259 operates school buses between the hours of 8 and 9 am Monday to Friday.

From our observation over the last 3 years or so - these buses do not make any stops at both these bus stops and we would like to acquire information from your records to see how many times over the last 5 years have any buses stopped when requested at these bus stops.

Please see the following table for the number of passengers who boarded services at the requested stops from 1 June 2014 to 10 November 2017, which is the period of time that we hold. These statistics are based on the number of times a card reader was tapped for each respective year. Frequently more than one person boards the bus at a time, hence the actual number of times the bus stops will be less than the number of boarders

The number of people who alight from these stops are not included in the data below as this would not be linked to a physical tap of a card against a reader. Consequently, these figures do not cover the number of times a bus has stopped to allow passengers who solely wish to exit, rather than board a bus.
