FOI request detail

Streetspace on Clapham High Street

Request ID: FOI-2925-2223
Date published: 27 February 2023

You asked

1. If TfL considers that ambulances do not need access to the dedicated cycle lane, why has TfL made exactly such a provision in Chiswick? 2. Why has TfL not carried out a risk assessment given that concerns have been raised and evidence shown of ambulances being stuck in Clapham High Street? 3. What monitoring of air quality has TfL made of Clapham High Street?

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-2925-2223

Thank you for your further request which we received on 5 February 2023, asking about air monitoring data on Clapham High Street.

Question 3 of your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and our information access policy.

Unfortunately TfL does not hold air quality monitoring data directly. Real-time air quality data across London is publicly available on the London Air Quality Network (LAQN - https://www.londonair.org.uk/ ), which includes more than 100 monitoring sites. An additional 30 sites located across London but not part of the LAQN are also available on the Air Quality England website (https://www.airqualityengland.co.uk ). Both sites provide detailed hourly data for all monitoring sites, as well as yearly aggregated statistics.

The rest of your email does not constitute an FOI request, and so the FOI Case Management Team are unable to assist with your queries. You can contact TfL’s customer services to consider them.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
