Could you please share the rules that determine availability and pricing of point-to-point season tickets for routes within the TfL contactless area.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 1 February 2023 asking for information about point-to-point rail season tickets.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked: Could you please share the rules that determine availability and pricing of point-to-point season tickets for routes within the TfL contactless area.
Point to point season tickets are addressed in Section 5 of the Conditions of Carriage: https://content.tfl.gov.uk/tfl-conditions-of-carriage.pdf. More rules on acceptance will be able to be found in the National Rail Conditions of Carriage (as these are National Rail tickets, rather than our tickets): https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/National%20Rail%20Conditions%20of%20Travel.pdf. The prices are determined by the Train Operating Companies in conjunction with the Department for Transport (DfT). We do not have any input into the setting of Point to Point Season Ticket fares.
