Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 December 2019 asking for information about use of Windows XP/Vista.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for the number of computers that you have under our control running:

1. Windows ME/98/95 or earlier

2. Windows XP

3. Windows Vista

And please provide any details you may hold on plans to upgrade / release these computers.

The following information is based on TfL devices directly managed by the End User Computing (EUC) team.  This does not include any stand-alone devices.

• There are 3 Windows XP Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)

• There are no Vista machines and anything pre-XP would not be supported by our management system (SCCM) and therefore would be unknown.

• No plans to upgrade/ release these.
