I have an FOIA/EIR request about your zero-emission bus routes.
Can you list the bus routes which are currently served using zero-emission battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell buses split by single-deck and double-deck?
Can you list the upcoming bus routes which are due (with start dates) to be served using new zero-emission battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell buses split by single-deck and double-deck?

Thank you for your request which we received on 31 January 2023, asking for information about London buses.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm TfL does hold the information you require.
Our full fleet of buses operating across London now meet or exceed Euro VI emission standards, the same emissions standard as the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). Euro VI is the latest emission standard for vehicles, reducing emissions of nitrogen oxide by up to 90%.
Please refer to the published bus fleet audit available via this link https://content.tfl.gov.uk/fleet-annual-audit-report-31-march-2022.pdf. The fleet is made up of low- and zero-emission (at the tailpipe) buses, including electric, hydrogen, diesel and hybrid buses, all of which meet Euro VI emission standards. An updated audit for 31 March 2023 will be published later this year.
