Does TFL, or any of its subsidiaries, receive any payments, in any form, from the Credit Card Providers that appear on it’s approved list for taking payments in licensed taxis? Is there any financial relationship in any way?

Thank you for your request received on 24 January 2023 asking for information about credit card payments in licensed taxis.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we the information you require. You asked if:
“TFL, or any of its subsidiaries, receive any payments, in any form, from the Credit Card Providers that appear on it’s approved list for taking payments in licensed taxis? Is there any financial relationship in any way?”
Transport for London (TfL) does not receive any financial renumeration from card payment providers from either the approval process or payments relating to taxi fares.
